M T7 Pill vs M P/T Pill

Both M T7 and M P/T pills contain tramadol hydrochloride. The difference between them is that the pill indexed M T7 contains 50 mg of pure tramadol with no active ingredient added, and M P/T pill is a compound medicine which consists of 37.5 mg tramadol HCl combined with 325 mg acetaminophen (paracetamol, APAP). As a result, M T7 pill is a generic for brand name Ultram, and M P/T pill is a generic for the medication distributed as Ultracet in the USA or Tramacet in Canada.

But an essential detail is the fact that in M P/T pills we find less tramadol as compared to M T7 pills, although the pain relieving effects of the medicine remain almost the same, as they are maintained by the little amount of acetaminophen added to it. That may be really crucial because tramadol is known to be highly addictive drug, and the less of it one takes, the better...

Mylan's M P/T Pill - Tramadol / Acetaminophen

Mylan's M P/T pill is a compound medication that consists of 325 mg Acetaminophen (APAP) and 37.5 mg Tramadol Hydrochloride. In the pill, opioid analgetic effects of Tramadol are increased by Acetaminophen - a milder pain reliver and a fever reducer. In fact, it is a generic version of a well-known Ultracet (which is also distributed under brand name Tramacet in Canada). The pill is round, yellow-colored.

Mylan's Darvocet

Mylan Pharmaceuticals manufactures several formulations of generic Darvocet. Today, we shall compare two of them - distributed as Mylan 130 and Mylan 155.

Both of them contain acetaminophen 650mg, but the other component is different. In Mylan 130, hydrochloride salt of propoxyphene is used (this formulation can be called Darvocet - just Darvocet, without any additional labels). In Mylan 155, propoxyphene napsylate is used, and this formulation is normally called Darvocet-N 100.

Due to the fact that these propoxyphene salts have different molecular masses, the amount of propoxyphene in both formulations is the same, though Mylan 155 contains 100mg of propoxyphene (napsylate) and Mylan 130 - only 65mg of propoxyphene (hydrochloride). However, propoxyphene napsylate is claimed to have less risk of abuse, as this salt is almost insoluble in water and, as a result, it cannot be injected. Moreover, propoxyphene napsylate gives lower peak blood level. Both features make Mylan 130 less common as compared to Mylan 155.

Now, what is Mylan 130? In short, it is Darvocet again. Each pill contains 650 mg of Acetaminophen together with 65 mg of Propoxyphene Hydrochloride. It is a mild narcotic pain reliever and a fever reducer. And the description, of course. The pill is oval and oblong, orange colored, film coated, with "MYLAN" letters imprinted on one side and the number "130" on the other.

Darvocet-N 100 is not only Mylan 155, it is also Mylan 1155. Both pills contain Acetaminophen 650mg and Propoxyphene Napsylate 100mg, but they are different in color, as Mylan 155 is pink to red and Mylan 1155 is white. The figures on the pills are slighly different, too. But it would be very interesting to know if there is any other difference between them!..

What is Mylan 155 pill? You mean a pill, or tablet with the letters MYLAN and the number 155 imprinted on it. If you have such a pill, it is Darvocet-N 100. The pill is oblong, film-coated. Its color is from pink to red. And it contains 650 mg of acetaminophen and 100 mg of propoxyphene napsylate. It is propoxyphene napsylate that gives Darvocet the letter "N" and the number "100", and Mylan's generic version of the medication is indexed "Mylan 155". It is a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory drug. Quite popular, we may say.
