Mylan's M L22-L27 Pills

Another instance of only using letter "M" to index pills manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals is Mylan's "M L" series which is distinguished by variable numbers debossed on the pills. Mylan Pharmaceutical produces and markets several absolutely different medicines labeled with these letters, and we are going to inform you about all of them, one by one. Today, our subject is Lisinopril (generic Zestril or Prinivil), a drug which is mainly used to treat hypertension and cardiovascular disease symptoms. It is distributed by Mylan in pills of six different strengths, from 2.5mg in pills indexed "M L22" to 40mg in pills indexed "M L26". Interesting enough, the sequence of indexes does not end at "26". The last pill in the series is marked "M L27", although it is a bit weaker in strength than the previous one, and only contains 30mg Lisinopril.

The whole set looks like this:
  • M L22 Pill - 2.5 mg
  • M L23 Pill - 5 mg
  • M L24 Pill - 10 mg
  • M L25 Pill - 20 mg
  • M L26 Pill - 40 mg
  • M L27 Pill - 30 mg

    Mylan 4250

Mylan 4250 yellow capsule. We have already examined some Doxepin capsules distributed by Mylan Pharmaceuticals, but it's time to add a few more to the list. Mylan manufactures Doxepin hydrochloride (generic Aponal, Sinequan or Silenor) in different strengths. Although no information about the stregths is available on the capsules, as they are only marked with pill indexes, you can find out all you have to know exploring the numbers on the pills. The index "MYLAN 4250" printed in black on both halves of a yellow-colored capsule means that it contains 50mg Doxepin hydrochloride. It is a psychotropic agent with tricyclic antidepressant and anxiolytic properties.

    Mylan 1610 Blue Capsule

The blue-colored Mylan 1610 capsule is 10mg Dicyclomine hydrochloride, which is mainly used for the treatment of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). It is a generic which is equal to brand name Bentyl. Generic versions of the medicine are produced and distributed in the USA by two big rival pharmaceutical companies, Watson and Mylan. In both cases, you get very similar blue-colored capsules which only differ in their indexes (Mylan 1610 and Watson 794), and hardly differ in their contents.

    Mylan 88 Pill

One more oval-shaped pill featuring MYLAN letters on it, with the number "88" debossed on the other side. The color of the pill can be described as gray to lavender. What is it? Mylan 88 is a compound medication with a rather complicated generic name which goes as Carbidopa and Levodopa (25mg/100mg), and is used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Its popular brand name sounds very simple: Sinemet. But remember, Mylan Pharmaceuticals does only produce generic versions of popular brands. Which, in fact, do only differ from brands by names, not in quality.
