Mylan's M2 Pill

We have already mentioned Furosemide (generic for Lasix) manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals (Mylan 216 and Mylan 232 pills), but in case with the pill of the smallest strength the situation is slightly different. It is not indexed with MYLAN letters, there is only one letter M on each of them, or M2, to put it more correct. However, they are still Mylan pills. Each M2 pill contains 20 mg of a loop diuretic Furosemide. Making urination more frequent, Furosemide lowers the level of salt in your system, removing extra water and in thus taking the excessive load off your heart, liver, and kidneys.

Mylan 377 - 250 mg Naproxen

This is a little round pill, white, with MYLAN embossed on one side and 377 on the other. Mylan 377 is 250 mg Naproxen (generic Naprosyn, or Aleve, or Midol), the smallest dosage of the medication manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Being an NSAID, Naproxen is used for the treatment of inflammation and as pain-killer. As only dosages of 220 mg or less (e.g., Aleve) are available over-the-counter, to get Mylan 377 pills you normally have to obtain a prescription.

Beware that Naproxen increases your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. It can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation. Long-term usage of the medication can worsen its adverse effects.

Mylan 555 - Naproxen

Description: white-colored oblong pill with "MYLAN" written on one side and "555".
What is it? Mylan 555 pill is Naproxen, generic version for Naprosyn medication manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. (There are other popular brand names that nclude Aleve, Naprelan and Midol.) The strength of the pill is 375 mg. It is the medium dosage in the series of Naproxen pills marketed by Mylan. The medication belongs to the family of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and is used to treat pain or inflammation caused mainly by rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (lower back pain), tendinitis, bursitis, gout, or even menstrual cramps. So, it has effects of a pain-killer, too. It may also be taken as a fever reducer.

Naproxen is a potent drug with some serious side effects. It can increase the risk of hazardous effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). So, one should not take Naproxen in dosages over prescribed.

Mylan M 755 Pill - generic Allegra

We have already mentioned generic Allegra (Fexofenadine hydrochloride) manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals when we discussed M 752 30mg pill. Today, we are going on with the subject, adding one more pill to our collection. This time it is Mylan's M 755 pill, 180 mg of Fexofenadine HCl. This form of the medication is widely used in adults and children aged 12 and older to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. Fexofenadine HCl can be used in children who are not 12 yet, but the dosage must be smaller. 180 mg (one M 755 pill) can be used after 12 years age is reached. Moreover, it is the usual recommended daily dose of the medication.

Oh, yes, the pill's color is blue :)

Mylan Generics

As we have already stated, Mylan Pharmaceuticals is a well-known manufacturer of high-quality generics for popular brand-name medications. Among Mylan drugs we find NSAIDs (Indomethacin, Naproxen, Piroxicam), benzodiazepines (Alprazolam, Diazepam, Lorazepam, Temazepam) and other sedatives and anti-convulsant medications (such as Phenytoin), pain-killers and fever reducers (acetaminophen/propoxyphene mixture in the form of Darvocet-N), beta-blockers (such as Propranolol HCl) and other heart medications (Clonidine), antibiotics (Nitrofurantoin), diuretics (Furosemide, Hydrochlorothiazide), allergy relief medicines (Fexofenadine HCl), and more, more and more... The list is quite incomplete and is going to be expanded. We continue collecting data on Mylan's generics and working on the ways of identifying them. We'd like to thank everybody who takes interest in our activity and helps us make our project even more informative :)

M 321 Pill

Some of Mylan pills are not indexed with the word "Mylan", they only have the letter "M" on them. One of such examples is Mylan's M 321 Pill. It is little, round, with "M" embossed on one side and "321" on the other. It is Mylan's Lorazepam (generic Ativan) again, 0.5 mg now. And it is the usual initial oral dose that is administered to healthy adults in the beginning of treatment.

Mylan 777 - 2mg Lorazepam Pill

White round Mylan 777 pill is 2mg Lorazepam (generic Ativan). It is the highest dosage of Lorazepam manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Lorazepam is a sedative or anti-anxiety medication from the benzodiazepine family, ten times more potent than another benzodiazepine - Diazepam. When needed, the dose of 2mg Lorazepam taken at a time can be achieved only gradually, beginning at 0.5 mg, day after day increasing the dosage. So one should by no means start treatment taking whole Mylan 777 pills at once, as it may cause severe adverse effects.

Mylan's Lorazepam

Among other well-known medications manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals we find Ativan. Of course, it is not called Ativan (as it is a brand name), it is Ativan's generic - Lorazepam. The pill of Mylan's Lorazepam is indexed "MYLAN 457" and contains 1 mg of Lorazepam. The only difference between Mylan's generic version and the medication distributed under the trade name Ativan is probably the name itself. Otherwise you get the very same drug with the very same properties. Apart from the fact that the generic version is cheaper.

Mylan 1010 Piroxicam Capsule

Together with 2020 capsules (20mg), Piroxicam (generic Feldene) is manufactured by Mylan in a smaller strength of 10mg. These are Mylan 1010 capsules that can be found in several variations of color. As far as we have been able to determine, the capsule which can be described as olive-green is manufactured and distributed by Mylan Phys Total Care DHS, Inc and the capsule with differently colored halves (yellow and green) is a product of Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Inc itself. But both of them can be listed as Mylan pills, and both contain 10 mg of Piroxicam (Feldene) which is an analgetic and antipyretic that belongs to the class of NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

Mylan A Pill - Alprazolam (Xanax) 0.25mg

The pill indexed Mylan A is the smallest dosage of alprazolam (generic for Xanax) manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. It contains only 0.25 mg of alprazolam. In fact, it is only one half of the usually taken 0.5 mg. But even this little pill is scored on the reverse to help the patient break it into two equal parts of about 0.125 mg in strenth. What does it mean? It just has to remind us one more time that Xanax is a drug with a high potential for abuse, and the chance of withdrawal symptoms is higher if the drug is taken in higher dosages.
